As an event created by the industry and for the industry, the inaugural DARE—which hosted Steve Forbes, editor-in-chief of Forbes magazine and CEO of Forbes, Inc., as its keynote speaker-brought together more than 75 speakers, who facilitated 25 relevant workshops with the residential mortgage industry’s leading authorities. DARE continued that same success with its October 2009 event, featuring such speakers as Pulitzer Prize recipient and world-renowned political writer George Will and former FHFA Director James B. Lockhart III.
